Lone Star Exchange is a classifieds platform that connects local buyers and sellers. We never process payments, take possession of items, or ship firearms. Every transaction is between private parties and must follow all applicable laws.

Follow federal and Texas law

Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for complying with all federal, state, and local laws. When in doubt — especially for interstate transfers — complete the transfer through a licensed dealer (FFL). Use our FFL Locator to find one nearby.

Prohibited transactions

Selling to anyone you know or suspect is a prohibited person.
Sales to anyone under the legal age.
Straw purchases or transfers you believe are illegal.
NFA items except in full compliance with federal law.
Stolen property or items with altered/removed serial numbers.
Shipping firearms between private parties across state lines.

Meet safely

Meet in a public place — a licensed FFL is ideal.
Never send money in advance; deal locally and in person.
Verify the other party's identity and eligibility.
Keep a record — generate a Bill of Sale.
Report suspicious listings or users using the Report button.
